How to cancel AOL: Go to mysubscriptions.aol.com and sign in with the AOL username being billed (this is the account owner's login). Official path: signed-in account on the brand site. Choose 'change to the free AOL plan' to keep your email address; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle (no auto-refund of the last charge), so if you were unaware you were being billed, call 1-800-827-6364 and ask for a goodwill refund.
Official steps
- Go to mysubscriptions.aol.com and sign in with the AOL username being billed (this is the account owner's login).
- Click Manage next to the paid plan you want to cancel.
- Click 'Cancel my subscription'.
- Click 'Continue to cancel'.
- Select a reason for canceling from the drop-down (optional).
- Click 'Cancel now' and save the confirmation.
- If a legacy 'Advantage'/dial-up plan won't cancel online, call AOL member services at 1-800-827-6364 to cancel by phone.
Do I need an account?
