How to cancel or unsubscribe from Audible

How to cancel or unsubscribe from Audible: Sign in to audible.com in a desktop browser (not the app). Official path: signed-in account on the brand site. Spend any remaining credits BEFORE you cancel — unused credits are forfeited the moment the membership ends (titles already bought with credits stay in your library forever).

Official steps

  1. Sign in to audible.com in a desktop browser (not the app).
  2. Select your username in the top navigation, then choose "Account details".
  3. Click the "Cancel membership" link.
  4. Click through the retention/interrupt screens (declining plan-switch and pause offers) by selecting "Continue".
  5. Confirm on the final page; you will get an email confirmation and Account details will show the membership as cancelled.
  6. If billed through Apple or Google (not Audible), cancel instead in the App Store or Google Play subscriptions — the Audible site cannot cancel it.
  7. For a goodwill refund of the most recent charge, contact Audible Customer Service by chat or phone after cancelling.

Do I need an account?

Cancelling requires signing into the account owner's Audible login and clicking through a multi-screen retention/interrupt flow (and app-store-billed memberships must be cancelled via Apple or Google instead).

Window, fees & policy notes

No fixed money-back window — Audible gives goodwill refunds of the last charge via Customer Service (modeled 30 days); cancelling is free but forfeits all unused credits; no in-store option; app-store-billed memberships must be cancelled through Apple/Google, not audible.com.
