How to return REI: Go to REI's order-status / returns page (rei.com/OrderTrackingLoginView, also reachable via the 'Return Instructions' link at the bottom of rei.com). You can usually start with order number and email — no account login. Official steps
- Go to REI's order-status / returns page (rei.com/OrderTrackingLoginView, also reachable via the 'Return Instructions' link at the bottom of rei.com).
- Choose 'Return Online Purchases' and enter the order number and billing ZIP code from your order confirmation email (no account sign-in needed); members can instead sign in and open Purchase History.
- Click 'Start Your Return', then select the items and a return reason.
- Choose the prepaid mail label (UPS) or select the free in-store option.
- REI emails the prepaid shipping label; print it, attach it to the package, and drop it with UPS/USPS — or bring the item to any REI store for a free return.
