How to return Target

How to return Target: Sign in to your Target account at target.com or in the Target app. You’ll need to sign in to your account to start. 90 days standard (120 with Target Circle Card/Circle 360, 365 for Target-owned brands like Cat & Jack/Good & Gather with receipt; non-Apple electronics 30 days, Apple/Beats & phones 14 days); free returns by every method with no restocking fee except $35 on opened mobile phones where legal; in-store and Drive Up returns available; final sale items (gift cards, trading cards, digital downloads, opened breast pumps) are non-returnable.

Official steps

  1. Sign in to your Target account at target.com or in the Target app.
  2. Open Orders (order history) and select the order you want to return.
  3. Select the item(s) and a return reason.
  4. Choose a return method: free prepaid UPS mail label, Drive Up curbside return, or in-store counter.
  5. For mail-in, print the prepaid UPS label and drop the package at any UPS location.
  6. For in-store/Drive Up, bring the item and show the receipt or the Wallet barcode in the app.

Do I need an account?

Starting an online return requires signing into your Target account to reach order history; there is no guest order-lookup return flow.
